Aspigon Driving Academy wanted a site that would attract visitors, and turn them into paying clients. I started with the
logo design according to their specifications and colour requirements.
www.aspigon.co.za
They wanted the site orange to fit their corporate colours, but I steered them away from the bright background
and reccommended the current one instead.
I made button images in windows paint ( yes I know, not the best drawing programme around, but I did'nt then) and linked them in with css.
This is a content rich site and I had to sit with the driving instructor quite a bit to get the content, then recode and rephrase them into what visitors, google and other searh engines would see as valuble content.
I've had to apply to companies like SAIDI, SADD and Arrive Alive to use their logo's on the site, as well as to some other sites to use some of their content and/or downloads. I am still waiting for the traffic department to use some of their pictures and content with regards to K53 driving in order to complete one of the pages on the site.
.
One rule of web designing, is to always keep your important info above the fold. This was not always possible with Aspigon Driving Avademy as a result of the amount of content, but I wanted to keep all the links to other pages above the fold. So I removed the last four from the list and placed them right at the top of the screen.
